The location of the hotel was particularly good and beautiful - approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Atholl Memorial Fountain.

greatly enjoyed our stay. overall had really nice stay of one night. the hotel was in a marvellous location short walk to the room-large areas of wallpaper and restaurants and place and dunkeld town centre. furthermore, to the italian bistro. the staff were outstandingly accommodating, we had an early check in and a friendly check-out.

The staff were very friendly and the room comfortable. The hotel is in a good location for beautiful riverside walks.
We would have liked to use a computer but did not have a laptop with us.

Impressive and fairly clean place, everything was perfect. All the staff were efficient and best giving some tips about the city. The room was neat with the sink in the bedroom, excellent value for money. We had a nice time.

A beautiful hotel, in a great setting, that was good value for money. The hearty breakfast included as part of the booking was most welcome.
Television reception was poor in the room. One of the members of staff was quite rude to us, although she was quickly disciplined by the manager, and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

The location was stunning, within walking distance of a half cathedral. Took a walk around city centre, located not too far from the hotel. My twin room was immaculate, had an extremely comfy bed.

birnam hotel is in an excellent situation for walking and exploring the surrounding area. We parked the car when we arrived and did not use it again until we left 3 days later. There were plenty of local walks, eating places and the Cathedral all within easy distance.

The fact that we could eat casually in the Scotts Bar without having to go out and look for somewhere elso to eat. Very good.

Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel interesting, clean and in a good location, evening meal good value and good breakfast.
No secure parking, noisy boiler in room 104.

charming atmosphere but needs modernization
The high ceilings created an excellent sense of space while the antique furniture added a unique character to the room. I enjoyed the comfortable bed with a restful night's sleep .
The hotel is in dire need of refurbishment.

overall a very pleasant stay, I would deffinately return at some point.
I don't think the kitchen was prepared for a very busy holiday weekend, they ran out of some foods. The wait for our meal on the Sunday night was a bit on the long side.

Comfortable hotel, there appears to be ongoing improvements being made. The food was very good and there is a modern friendly bar.
The TV is very small and we were unable to get more than a couple of channels.

Charming historical building, spacious family suites, rustic wooden furnishings
This place could benefit from significant maintenance improvements!!! The uneven paths to the bar are dangerous, the heating systems need updating, and outdated decor is evident throughout. The need for better bathroom amenities is a must!!!
